Founded in 2015 by Nana Abrah-Asiedu, SESA is a design firm that creates modern and simple buildings tailored to reflect the values of our clients and the specific requirements of each site. The company was built on important values that still influence our work today. Firstly, we only take on projects that excite us, believing in loving what we do. Secondly, each project must meet a high standard to show our dedication and skills. Thirdly, we think architecture should have real meaning, going beyond looks to connect with purpose and authenticity, staying understandable and relatable without being too formal or confusing. Finally, we never compromise on the first value.
At SESA, our mission is to enrich the lives of discerning individuals through the beauty of simplicity and the freedom of thoughtful space. We strive to promote the virtues of conscious and deliberate living, prioritizing quality over quantity, function over decoration, authenticity over mimicry, and architecture over mere building. While our focus lies in crafting custom homes, we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with passionate individuals on projects that resonate with their vision and values.
Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, our practice is anchored by a dedication to projects in Ghana. We collaborate closely with local architects and contractors to provide design/build solutions. This partnership model ensures that each project we undertake is deeply rooted in the community it serves, incorporating local expertise and sustainable practices. By bridging continents and cultures, we create spaces that not only inspire but also resonate with the people they are designed for.
Nana received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
