Alfresco House

The residence, nestled on a modest lot in an evolving urban community at the Aburi foothills, is crafted for clients who appreciate outdoor living. Responding to the owners' desire for sustained privacy amidst rapid development, the design comprises a composition of interconnected volumes. The structures act as a shield, safeguarding the sanctity of home life from the hurried pace of the surrounding streets.

A key feature of the design is a deliberate balance struck between seclusion and openness. The architecture embraces natural light and ventilation through expansive windows and large sliding glass doors, fostering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. At the rear of the property, an open pavilion facilitates informal gathering and relaxation.

Mindful of the tropical climate, the design navigates the challenge of regulating solar heat gain. Generous overhangs and an operable facade screen work in unison to temper the sunlight's intensity, ensuring the interior remains comfortable and inviting throughout the day.
